Paracetamol by Muhammad Amir Ayub

Here's notes on a drug that's used everywhere and all the time, yet poorly understood.

Another half a month, another mass shooting incident in the land of the free and the home of the brave, where people are made free to buy guns and afraid to send their kids to school. It's so bad that the Onion sounds like a website with serious shit.

"He is fully aware of what is going on, and he’s just a broken human being." Whatever. A terrorist's a terrorist.

And I finally got some A4 size stock of Tomoe River paper, which is almost impossible to get in Malaysia. None of the local fountain pen shops sell them, and CzipLee's Bangsar branch only sells (the full range of) Rhodia products. Apparently it was the only stock left. It's definitely expensive, but the smoothness and the way colors just pop on the page (as it literally repels ink while being thinner than your typical 80 gsm paper) makes me happy. Anything that pushes me to study is good. Now where's the ice I've always wanted to give me unlimited energy?

Physiological Effects of Smoking and Perioperative Outcomes by Muhammad Amir Ayub

A slightly better pace of note-making.

People seemed surprised that I'm having exams at the end of the month. I look too relaxed. Erk.

On another note, the country is now affected by another death following homebirth. People are obsessed with regression. If people are so obsessed with being "natural", just go and live in the jungle like the PASKAL recruits without technology and live on your own. Then I'll salute you as being the most natural of the naturalists. Here is the DG's statement on the manner, as well as that from the Medical Mythbusters Malaysia (of which some of the members are known acquaintances), Prof Imelda Balchin and the KL Mufti's Office; some in Malay and some in Englisth. I just can't be like all of those well-regarded group of individuals, who can talk in a nice manner despite of all of these destroyers of society (I initially wanted to type MF'er..Eh). I am never nice.

And As Usual, The NBA Eastern Conference Still Goes Through LeBron by Muhammad Amir Ayub

The LeBron Soap Opera continues with more drama than any TV show/comic, and the Cavs change half the team mid-season (probably to fix the locker room more than the on court product). But did anyone think they'd be this good in their first game together with the new players?

You really have to pity Isiah Thomas for what he's going through, with a precipitous fall from grace (MVP candidate to bench player in less than a year). But when you enter a new locker room full of alpha males and create disharmony in the locker room while not being a stud yourself coming back from injury...
